“The world, even the smallest parts of it, is filled with things you don't know.” ― Sherman Alexie

I began working for the Fremont Unified School District in 1998 as the district wide Program Manager for the Native American Studies Program. Shortly thereafter, I earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and it wasn’t long after that point that I found my way to COIL Charter school in September 2000. Currently, I am in my 19th year as an Advisory Teacher for COIL!

I hold a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley (GO BEARS!!) with a minor in Italian. I also have an M.S. in Educational Leadership and a Tier 1 Administrative Credential from Cal-State East Bay.

I wear a few different hats at COIL; I have coached the school's Mock Trial Team and  I am also a Fremont Unified School District Gifted and Talented (GATE) certified educator.

I really enjoy getting to know our students and helping them cultivate critical thinking skills.
